Former “ER” actress Parminder Nagra has a major burn scar on her upper right leg from a cooking accident she suffered when she was 7. It was incorporated into the plot of her breakout film, “Bend It Like Beckham,” though Gurinder Chadha, the film’s writer, director and producer, didn’t know about the scar until after she’d been cast.
